Bluegrass Hall of Famers The Dillards, also known as the Darlings, became famous after introducing bluegrass music and bluegrass music to millions of people. “Dueling Banjos”And “Dooley”Television “Andy Griffith Show,”Saturday night’s headliner is Missy Raines, a 10-time International Bluegrass Music Award-winner. Friday night is Missy Raines’ turn as the headliner. Bluegrass & Fried Chicken FestivalFriday through Saturday at the indoor Ozark Highlands Theatre, Ozark Folk Center State Park (1032 Park Ave. Mountain View).

Shows will be held on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm, respectively. They also feature Mountain View musicians Ozark Strangers (and Spillwater drive). The Ozark Legacy, The Ozark Legacy and Sylamore special (featuring Lillyanne Mccool, an 18-year-old National Banjo Champion, as well as Mary Parker, a 17-year old Arkansas Grand Champion Fiddler). Tickets are $50 for both Saturday and Friday, $35 on Saturday, and include access to the park’s artisan craft village and gardens. “From Rust to Dust,”
The East Arkansas Community College Gallery is located at 1700 Newcastle Road in Forrest and features the works in charcoal exhibit of Marianna’s contemporary folk artist Cheryl McMickle. CityFrom Oct. 7 through Oct. 7. An artist reception will take place at 6:30 p.m. on October 1, and Trace Adkins performs in the EACC Fine Arts Center. Admission is free. ETC.: Momentary shows

Eight Northwest Arkansas artists (seven playwrights and seven actors) create and perform together. “Collision: When Visions Combine,”It is described as follows in a news release “an exploration of process, exchange and play,”Saturday, 5-9 pm at the Momentary507 S.E. E St., Bentonville. Each 15-minute set will take place twice at different locations in the facility. Momentary and Creative Arkansas Community Hub & Exchange are collaborating on this project.
